We’ve all had actually those hurried minutes when we’re late for dinner (or the airport) and there are still a half-dozen things to achieve on our way out the door– consisting of scheduling an Uber or Lyft.
You can save a couple of clicks on your phone by asking Google Assistant to call a trip for you. Request an automobile on any Google Assistant-enabled gadget, including your Google House.
To get started, you can specify the service you choose using a command like “Hey Google, book an Uber to [destination]” or “Hey Google, get me a Lyft.” The app for the service you pick will open on your phone– you’ll see available rides and book from there.
If you do not have a preference for your ride-sharing service, you can also ask Google Assistant for choices. If you say, “Hey Google, book me a trip to [destination],” you’ll get a list of alternatives and current pricing from various business running in your location so you can select the most inexpensive or fastest one.
From there, you’ll be routed to the app for the service you select.
This function is useful if you need to call a trip in a rush or if you want to compare prices without opening up a bunch of various apps.
